RICE PUDDING RECIPE

3/4 cup uncooked medium grain white rice ▢1 1/2 cups water ▢2 1/2-3 cups half and half divided ▢1/3 – 1/2 cup sugar ▢1/4 tsp salt ▢1 egg beaten ▢1 tbsp butter ▢1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Ingredients

Step - 1

Bring the 1 1/2 cups of water to a simmer in a saucepan. Once the water reaches a simmer, stir in the rice. Cover and reduce the heat to medium. Allow to simmer for twenty minutes. Ensure that the rice is cooked completely.

The boiled rice should be transferred to a clean saucepan. Blend in 1 1/2 cups of half-and-half, salt, and sugar. Prepare until creamy over medium heat. 15 to 20 minutes.  

Step - 2

After adding the remaining half-and-half, proceed to incorporate the beaten egg and raisins. Continue cooking for two minutes. Irrigating consistently.  

Step - 3

After removing from heat, incorporate the butter and vanilla.  

Step - 4

A simple delicacy, sweet and creamy rice pudding can be served either warm or chilled. Enhanced with a pinch of cinnamon, it embodies the quintessence of comfort and evokes sentimental recollections.
