NAAN RECIPE

½ cup warm water ▢2 teaspoons instant yeast ▢1 teaspoon sugar ▢3 tablespoons olive oil ▢¼ cup plain yogurt ▢1 egg ▢½ teaspoon salt ▢2½-3 cups all purpose flour ▢2 tablespoons butter, melted ▢2 teaspoons minced garlic

Ingredients

Step - 1

In a large basin, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit for five minutes, or until bubbly. 2 cups of flour, olive oil, yogurt, an egg, and salt are added. Continue stirring until homogeneous.

Include sufficient flour to form a pliable dough. On a floured counter, knead the dough a few times until smooth.

Step - 2

Coat the dough with oil. Cover and allow to rise until doubled in a heated location.

Step - 3

Bring a skillet to a medium temperature. Divide the mixture in eight portions. Spread each portion of dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a 6-inch circle.

Step - 4

Add a little oil or non-stick spray to the skillet. Cook each circle for 2-3 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on the bottom. Flip over and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Step - 5

Melt butter and brush it over the top (the bubbling side) of each naan. Although garlic was added to the butter, it is not required.
