Utilize a non-microwave-safe measuring cup or basin. Stir in the bouillon cubes and stock, then simmer for one minute.
Boil the bouillon repeatedly over heat until it is dissolved.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Sage, flour, and thyme are added and cooked for one minute.
Whisk in the heated broth or bouillon cube gradually until smooth. After increasing to a boil, lower to a simmer. Whisk until thickened and smooth, approximately 1 minute.
Once cooked through, season with salt and pepper to flavor. Serve without delay.
