▢2 cups beef stock or broth ▢2 cubes beef bouillon ▢2 tablespoons unsalted butter ▢1/4 cup all purpose flour ▢1/4 teaspoon dried thyme ▢1/2 teaspoon dried sage ▢salt and pepper to taste to taste


Step - 1

Utilize a non-microwave-safe measuring cup or basin. Stir in the bouillon cubes and stock, then simmer for one minute.  

Boil the bouillon repeatedly over heat until it is dissolved.  

Step - 2

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Sage, flour, and thyme are added and cooked for one minute. 

Step - 3

Whisk in the heated broth or bouillon cube gradually until smooth. After increasing to a boil, lower to a simmer. Whisk until thickened and smooth, approximately 1 minute. 

Step - 4

Once cooked through, season with salt and pepper to flavor. Serve without delay.
