ITALIAN BREAD RECIPE

2 cups very warm water ▢5 teaspoon instant yeast ▢1 tablespoon sugar ▢2 tablespoons vegetable oil ▢1 tablespoon salt ▢5 cups all purpose flour

Ingredients

Step - 1

In a large basin, combine water, yeast, sugar, oil, and 2 cups of flour with a whisk until smooth.  

Allow to remain in a warm location for thirty minutes, or until bubbly. Combine the salt and sufficient flour to form a pliable dough.  

Step - 2

On a floured counter, knead the dough briefly until smooth. Reenter the basin. Cover and allow to rise for 60 minutes, or until doubled.  

Step - 3

Half the dough should be rolled into a 12-inch-long baguette with each half. Two loaves should be placed in a greased baking tray.  

Step - 4

Delay loaves for 30 to 45 minutes, or until multiplied. Create several diagonal incisions in the upper surface of every loaf.  

Step - 5

Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the crust becomes golden brown.
