GOOEY BUTTER COOKIES RECIPE

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese softened ▢½ cup unsalted butter softened ▢1 egg ▢½ teaspoon vanilla extract ▢1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix ▢1 cup powdered sugar plus more for dusting

Ingredients

Step - 1

Cream the cream cheese, butter, egg, and vanilla in a large basin using a hand mixer until light and airy.  

After incorporating the cake mix, refrigerate for thirty minutes.  

Step - 2

Bring the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.  

Step - 3

Incorporate sugar granules into a bowl. Scoop and roll dough into spheres measuring 1 1/2 inches in diameter; coat with powdered sugar. Place on a cookie sheet that has been gently greased.  

Step - 4

Bake for twelve to ten minutes. After a few minutes of resting on the cookie sheet, transfer the cookies to a cooling tray. 

Step - 5

Further dust with powdered sugar, if desirable.
