Crispy Hot Honey Salmon Bite

Salmon fillet, 1 pound, center-cut, skinned, and cut into 1-inch segments 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted 1 teaspoon salt kosher 1 teaspoon garlic granules 1/2 teaspoon pepper, powdered Smiling 1/2 teaspoon of paprika 1/2 teaspoon plus additional pulverized red pepper for garnish 1 lemon, preserved 1 tablespoon plus additional heated honey for garnish For garnish, chopped fresh scallions are optional.

Step - 1

Place the broiler rack six inches from the heat source and preheat it. In a medium bowl, combine salmon segments with melted butter, salt, garlic, pepper, paprika, and crushed red pepper.  

Spread the salmon segments across a sizable, rimmed baking sheet in an even layer. 6 to 7 minutes, or until faintly browned, on the broiler.  

Step - 2

Meanwhile, whisk lemon juice and hot honey in a small bowl.

Step - 3

Apply the hot honey to the salmon pieces in an even coating. The broiling time is two minutes.

Transfer to a serving platter; if desired, garnish with heated honey, chives, or crushed red pepper.
