2 cups long-grain white rice ▢1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles ▢1 bunch cilantro chopped ▢2 tablespoons salted butter ▢garlic salt and pepper to taste ▢4 cups chicken broth ▢1 tablespoon lime juice


Step - 1

Bring to a simmer, in a large saucepan, all of the ingredients combined over medium-high heat.  

Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20–25 minutes, stirring intermittently, until the rice is tender.  

Step - 2

Warmly fluff and serve.

Similar in flavor to rice from Cafe Rio  is cilantro lime rice. This delectable and straightforward dish is ideal for a salad, burrito, or taco.
